Social Impact & ICF Communities
At ICF, the development of our people goes beyond the workplace. A thriving workforce is one that feels engaged, connected, and inspired to grow—both professionally and personally.
To support this, ICF Communities was launched—an employee-led initiative built around six key pillars: Mind, Body & Sports, Social, Self-Improvement, Mentorship, CSR, and Environmental. Each month, these communities lead enrichment activities that reflect the company’s values, promote well-being, and foster cross-functional collaboration across teams.

SOCIAL COMMUNITY
At ICF, a great workplace is about more than deadlines—it’s about connection. Social activities help build strong relationships, foster team spirit, and celebrate the diversity that defines ICF. From BBQs and karaoke nights to themed potlucks, these gatherings create space to relax, connect, and build genuine camaraderie.
Monthly birthday celebrations and hands-on team activities—from making rice dumplings to creating mini terrariums—add to this people-first culture. These shared moments bring joy, strengthen bonds, and ensure everyone feels valued, supported, and part of something bigger.

SELF IMPROVEMENT COMMUNITY
Continuous learning is a core pillar of growth at ICF. Through our self-improvement initiatives, employees are encouraged to expand their thinking and build new skills. This year, teams explored SCAMPER, a creative thinking tool that drives innovation by reimagining ideas in new ways.
We also conducted workshops on mental well-being and effective communication, equipping employees to navigate challenges and collaborate better. In addition, foundational digital skills training for tradesmen strengthened confidence in using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—reflecting ICF’s commitment to an empowered, growth-oriented workforce.

MENTORSHIP COMMUNITY
Mentorship is a key pillar of people development at ICF. Every team member is paired with a dedicated mentor, often experienced leaders like our General Manager, for personalised guidance on topics ranging from leadership and career planning to technical skills and project management.
Team members also participate in structured learning opportunities such as crash courses in shipbuilding and project execution planning (PEP) training. These initiatives build technical expertise, enhance project delivery capabilities, and reinforce our culture of continuous learning and knowledge-sharing across all levels.

MIND, BODY AND SPORTS COMMUNITY
At ICF, well-being encompasses more than just physical health—it includes mental focus, emotional balance, and social connection. The Mind, Body & Sports Committee fosters this holistic wellness by organising light, engaging activities that help employees recharge and connect in meaningful ways.
A highlight was a guided yoga session earlier this year, offering staff a chance to pause and stretch—many experiencing workplace yoga for the first time. Casual games like Jenga have also become popular, encouraging focus, laughter, and screen-free social breaks during lunch or committee events. Through mindful movement and playful moments, the committee nurtures a culture where self-care and connection are everyday priorities.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNITY
To support both environmental sustainability and workplace well-being, our Environmental Committee introduced a reusable water bottle initiative as part of the WSH hydration campaign. By replacing single-use plastic bottles with durable, refillable alternatives, we aim to significantly reduce plastic waste across our operations. This initiative not only encourages our staff to stay hydrated, especially in high-heat environments, but also reinforces our commitment to building greener habits in everyday work life. It’s a small step with lasting impact, aligning health, safety, and environmental care in one practical solution.

CSR COMMUNITY
ICF’s CSR committee is deeply committed to supporting vulnerable communities and driving positive social impact. In 2024, ICF Group, represented by the Group CFO, Shawn Ow and team, proudly participated in the MWAF Charity Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinner hosted by the Migrant Workers’ Centre on April 17, an event honoured by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
Beyond fundraising, the team also visited an orphanage in Batam, Indonesia to share t-shirts and bring joy to the children there. These initiatives reflect ICF’s dedication to collective responsibility and meaningful action—both locally and regionally—within a compassionate CSR community.
